Jodi Flick is a Clinical Instructor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Social Work and a counselor with the Chapel Hill Police Department Crisis Unit. She has over 25 years experience in mental health services, emergency poverty relief, and medical social work.

Ms. Flick has been actively involved in volunteer work and community organization around social justice and service issues. She has considerable experience in education and teaching and is a dynamic speaker who engages the participants in the learning process.

Her life has been touched by suicide both professionally and personally, as she has lost a number of patients, colleagues, friends and a family member to suicide.
